Do you suffer from TUNE-A-PHOBIA ?

Are you afraid you'll damage your gear ?

YOU CAN'T DAMAGE YOUR GEAR USING RAY'S WAY !!

If you are a klutz- forget it, but given a reasonable amount of manual dexterity and a little attention to detail you can tune your gear. RAY'S WAY is easy work, it's accurate and risk free. Click on the "FEEDBACK" link below and request the complete list of my free tuning tips (a mini-tuning manual). Then click on the "FIRST TIME TUNERS" link below for a list of additional tools/supplies needed which you can make yourself or buy at your local hardware store.

RAY' S WAY is easy.

  • Tuning starts with a tool to make the base flat and create micro grooves

called structure which keeps the P-tex from sticking in moist snow.

  • The next step is to sharpen the steel edges to the proper bevel angle

using an edge tool. This makes the edges hold well on hard surfaces, prevents chatter

and creates versatility in turn initiation.

  • Third, you wax the base to improve glide, protect the P-Tex and then brush it expose the structure.
  • Then you go out and enjoy the results.

I have had 10 year old kids flattening bases, waxing
and commenting on how easy it was !
They achieved the same quality results as a shop tune.
